Why some parents drink

A boss wondered why one of his most valued employees had not phoned in sick one day. Having an urgent problem with one of the main computers, he dialled the employees home phone number and was greeted with a child's whispering voice. "Hello, is your daddy home?" he asked "Yes" whispered the small voice "May I talk with him?" he asked "No" Surprised and wanting to talk with an adult, the boss asked, "Is your Mummy there?" "Yes" was the whispered reply "May I talk with her?" Again the small voice whispered, "No" Hoping there was somebody with whom he could leave a message, the boss asked, "Is anybody else there?" "Yes", whispered the boy, "A policeman" Wondering what a cop would be doing at his employee's home, the boss asked, "May I speak with the policeman?" "No, he's busy", whispered the child "Busy doing what?" "Talking to daddy and mommy and the fireman", came the answer. Growing more worried as he heard what sounded like a helicopter through the earpiece on the phone, the boss asked, "What's that noise?" "A helicopter" answered the whispering voice. "What is going on there?" demanded the boss, now truly apprehensive. Again whispering, the child answered, "The search team just landed the helicopter." Alarmed, concerned and a little frustrated the boss asked, "What are they searching for!! " Still whispering, the young voice replied with a muffled giggle "ME".

Tax time and Party Hats

Good evening ! Have had a fantastic day... Got our tax money today - so I went and got my new vacume cleaner. Used it tonight it's even better than my mums! Has sooo much suction on it.
I also got some new glasses from allens and they were soooo cheap! I got 12 glasses for $11.80 as they we're on sale. Would of usually cost me like $40 !
Went to lunch with mum and dad, which was nice. We hadn't caught up all week. Was nice to catch up. Makayla loves seeing her nan and cookie.
Ooooh went around to visit my sister in law and got to see my nephews (greg had the shits. Literally!!) he kept pooing!! He's still a cutie though. But gawd he can do a smelly!
Then I went and got my hair done at michael's hairdressing. Never been there before, but went coz my sis in law said they do cheap hair cuts. She was right in that respect, but hell! They charge so much for foils it aint funny!! I ended up having to pay $185!!!!!!!! I usually pay $100 at my usual hair dresser!!! I couldn't believe it!!! My hair looks fantastic though but I don't think I will be going back there to get my hair done again! Well not foils, hair cut yes, but not foils. Oh well. Can't dwell on it now.

Michael and I cleaned out our garage tonight as we have council pick up next week. Fantastic, we have so much spare room (again) we just have to make sure we don't dump more stuff in there. Michael has to get in there and sort the garage out though cause all his computer crap is in there! Ah well... we couldn't even walk in the room so at least we can now!

Saturday night we went to our friends paula and matt's place as it was their daughter sarah's first birthday party. Mick got makayla wearing a party hat and I got a picture. She's such a cutie.

Alright, am going to go, wanna go to bed early gotta be up early tomorrow to take my cat to the vet to get desexed. She's on heat and she is driving us NUTS! so can't wait until she is desexed.

IT'S FREEZING!

Well, I thought I'd start by stating the obvious... that it's freezing this morning at 7:58am. I usually don't get out of bed by 9ish, so it's a bit of a cold shock. Wish this damn heater would start warming up! Both Makayla and Michael are still asleep, Michael I can understand he went to bed probably about 2am, where as makayla, well we both went to bed about 8pm as I was worn out to the max, mick was in bed for about an hr with me and then got up (I was happy he was snoring argh!! I hate snorers, he never used to!)
Ok going back to Wednesday... I was asked to babysit my beautiful nephew Mitchell (cept he wasn't too beautiful when he puked all over himself... and after I had changed him 1/2hr later at the shop did it again - and had done a smelly runny poo... just as his mum came, spose he get a credit for that!!) So yeah, we went out as I had to go to the medical center to get a form filled out for my epelipsy so I could continue driving. He was pretty good with us there, it was makayla who didn't want to sit still and wanted to be all over me. He had a bit of a winge, only coz I don't think he likes that he can't see much when he is in the pram as makayla's toddler seat sits over where he lays and he wouldn't be used to it cause my sister in law has a double pram. Was trying to find a picture of how the buggy sits so I could show you what I mean, can't find one... oh well. Anyways, so after that I took Mitchell and makayla up to mum and dad's office (also where Michael works) mum and dad were away so they didn't get to see the kids. Had to feed Mitchell and Makayla (hence this is the part where Mitchell decided to spew - number 1) We then got in the car and went to the city center and got some kebabs for lunch. As we we're sitting eating lunch, out comes number 2 spew (fantastic kid really) Then I had to go to the rta, told mick it probably wouldn't be a long line... was I wrong. Walked in it was serving number 160 something... I was number 194!!!!!!!! I told mick to go back to the car drive it back to work and I would walk back. As we are standing there some guy walks past and says "I am going to go now, do you want my ticket might save you some time" I'm like "sure..." died when I saw what number he was! He asked me and I said "oh you saved me about an hour!" Had given me ticket number 176! I was still there for about 45mins (imagine if I was number 194 still) The young ones we're good while I was there, Mitchell was happier sitting on my lap so that's what he did, and I just distracted makayla with anything I could think of... toys, paper, car keys... Went home after that and had a lay down for about ten mins before Mitchell did a smelly - lucky for me his mum turned up!
Thursday was shocked to check my bank account and found $1000 in there! It was money from family assistance (they automatically put it in when you do tax - we did it ourselves this year) So after Makayla's appointment with dr chua we went shopping... Did meet Michael for lunch though. I got Michael some new work pants, shirts, boots (all which he DESPERATELY needed) I got him a couple of plain shirts, 2 pairs of shorts and some joggers. I also got all the stuff I needed for my stay in hospital - some nighties, pads, undies, socks, toiletries the usual. I packed some of my bag last night. I can't believe how close it is getting. Could be anytime now!
Mick and I went and saw the simpsons movie on thursday night... sorry to all who love it, but we both didn't think it was that funny. Maybe I am just over the simpsons? It had it's moments but we didn't think it was worth paying $13 each to see it. Oh well those are the breaks.
Yesterday (friday) was my cleaning day... oh wasn't it fun. Was emptying the kittie litter (should be a 5 min job) But NOOOOO I had to pick it up (which is fine) cept the top bit detached from the bottom bit. It didn't just fall down... it had to flippin flip over. So it went everywhere. Bastard. So it ended up taking me 1/2 hr to do a simple job. Wasn't happy.
Well today is my friend paula's little girls first birthday party (Makayla and Sarah are good friends - i often have pictures on here) We have to take a dish over from a certain country. I got Italy so i'm taking a lasagne over.
So I better go, so I can do all the stuff I need to do - have to go and get a few things from the shop too.

Doggy no more

Hi all... Well decided over the last couple of days, that i'm not going to get a dog at this present time. I really want one, but I know for some reason I'm feeling like I shouldn't, as we are having another bub and well, it would be better for the back yard to be fixed up first (that's going to be a job and a half!) and I want the girls to be able to go out in the backyard, and if I had a dog I would have to watch them a lot more than If we didn't have a dog. So I have decided to wait, even though I really want one, I also don't think it's the right time. Thanks Kelly and Debs for your advice it was good advice. TTFN Megs :)
