Pictures of the girls

Stephanie was passed out on the lounge

I took this one of me and maka

Stephanie can already hold her head up

Makayla and I were having some fun on the grass - she loves going outside

I think Makayla loves her new sister...
Good evening! It's been a while since I have updated, So I thought I should. Life has been pretty hectic atm, lots of appointments and stuff with the girls and myself. Life has improved so much. The last three weeks we're hell with Stephanie. We didn't know what was wrong. She would basically scream and cry whenever she was laying flat. It was bad. We thought it was colic, coz steph seemed to have trouble bringing wind up. So we tried stuff for that. It didn't work. We then put her on losec and reflux formula to see if it was reflux. We think it could of been a little bit of that, but she still didn't really improve. So three weeks after she had STILL been bad, I was ready to loose it. I ended up deciding to go onto antidepressants again. When i was at the appointment for that, Stephanie was screaming the WHOLE time! The doctor then said "get a urine sample" It was then discovered the next day that she had a urine infection - oh thank god in a way (that we found out what was wrong) she has been STACKS better now. Shes had antibiotics. She has got to have a ultrasound on Monday just to check her kidneys are ok and it's not urine reflux.
In other news. Makayla is starting daycare two days a week next week! I am going to miss her sooooo much, but I hope it will help her. She has been really slow at learning new things and isn't walking yet (some of that is to do with her being premie) Anyhoo, I think it will be really good for her. I am also taking her to playgroup once a week - it's the same one my sister in law goes to too. So she gets to see her cousins!
We all have colds atm, although makayla and I are just getting over it - But steph is coughing and has lost her voice. Michael has just started getting a sore throat. If I get it back I will be soooo shitty!!!
Oooh! And our grass is looking very nice! We have the BEST lawn! It took really well and it's very green too.
Righto Ill talk to you all later! Byes!

Just some new pictures of the girls

This was taken last saturday, I left makayla to eat her pasta herself, so michael and I could go and do more of the turf! We came back to find this. She looks like she enjoyed herself!

Some photos of stephanie taken last night - I suddenly realised, that with steph, I had hardly taken any pictures! It's so hard having two, and I suppose when it's ur first your always taking pictures (hense why I have soooo many of makayla.) So I took some pictures. Finally.

More of our backyard

Yesterday, we rotary hoed our back and front yards, (after the bobcat dude had been in on Wednesday) in preparation for the turf that was coming at 3pm. We started doing that at 9am, with a couple of breaks here and there, and then we continued on at 3pm laying the turf, then we did that until 10pm that night! Having a break for tea etc. We got all the front yard turfed - we did leave some room for a new hedge and garden, and we did the rest of the turf in the backyard. We are getting another two pallets of turf next Saturday so we can lay the rest of the backyard (if it's enough turf for it!) We layed 250square meters yesterday, and next Saturday we are going to lay another 100square meters. What fun! But it looks fantastic!!!!

This is before we got it bobcatted and rotary hoed it and layed the new grass

Which one looks better??? (this is after!)

This is our backyard filled with lovely weeds, n crap! (and our old car!!)

This is after!! Just a tad nicer!!

Like I said we still have a lot of turf to lay, and we have a concrete area going in where the yellow tape and bricks are, and that will prob take a couple of months before we get the concrete area in, but it will be great when it is in! I can't wait!!! :D

Presents for little stephanie & Updates!

This was from my pappa

These two suits we're from my cousin and her family - She also brought Steph some blocks (and makayla has loved using them too! - Nan has them at her house :) )

My Aunty and Uncle gave these to Steph. She also got a teddy bear rattle.

Today, little stephanie got a package in the mail from some of my family. The things they got her are so beautiful! Thanks so much guys for the presents, I LOVE THEM! I can't wait to put her in them!!! (they read my blog)
In other news, I have had some trouble settling steph at night, oh gawd she was a naughtie girl the other night! I did manage to get her to have some sleep, but not a lot! She has been fun to try and get to sleep, she doesn't want to settle by herself, she seems to only want to be happy when she is on our shoulders or with us! That's really annoying! Cause I had such a good girl with makayla I am a bit stumped as to what to do with babies that won't settle by themselves. We have tried a dummy, but that often comes out so she is left crying and upset again. We give her more food but unless she really needs it she over stuffs herself and then she gets a belly ache. I'm thinking she hates the hardness of her bassenette so tonight we have tried to make it more comfortable with a pillow (and yes I know we shouldn't have it in there but I'm at my wits ends here people!) atm she seems to be liking that and she is asleep. Thank god! But any suggestions are welcome... GLADLY! My week has been not very eventful, which I'm happy about, coz it's pretty full on atm. Went for a walk on Friday all the way from my place to down town (which is probably a good couple of kms) I had the pram too which was fun! Makayla had a good time too. Then I went to lunch with my mum and dad and Michael as it was Mick's birthday on Saturday. We didn't really do much - I actually got the craps coz he was playing the computer and I wanted to get out of the house. So I went out and left the lazy arse to play his computer. Ended up going to my friends Paula and matt's place, took Makayla and her daughter Sarah to the park - but makayla didn't have much fun, think she was tired and unwell and sure enough she has come down with a cold and had a really bad cough on Sunday/Monday (Monday was so bad had to give her some predmix poor darling) but she is still such a good girl when she is sick, even when it has been the millionth time that I have wiped her snotty nose! Sunday we went to michael's sister's place for dinner - the whole family was there so we all got to catch up. His grandmother, Joyce was also up from Griffith so she got to meet little Stephanie. I think she really liked her too (who wouldn't!) Tuesday, oh dear that was a bad day for me! The girls were both being naughty, Makayla was sick so that was understandable. Monday night steph had already been terrible and I had been awake since 6am tuesday because she wouldn't settle. Then I had them tuesday, with makayla wanting cuddles all day (which is cute and nice cept I couldn't get anything done...) and Steph would only sleep for about 20mins before screaming for my shoulder! Well, I tried to get makayla to have a sleep because she was tired and she screamed the house down for about 1/2 an hr. I had just got her out of bed, sat back down, when I saw someone at the front door. Makayla was in her nappy, still doing the gasping thing as she had been fully crying. I had been crying from the stress of it all... Anyways, I was thinking please, if your not help go away! It was the damn Jahovous witness!! I liked this next comment they made. "looks like your having a bad day?" I was like "YOU THINK??????" grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! Then Stephanie started crying. I said to the "lovely" ladies "I have to go, please go away it's not a good time!" I had my friend Amie who is a midwife pay me a visit that day as well - and I was very teary eyed. She came back today too, but I was feeling much better cause the girls we're being good. Steph had been a little bit better to settle, but only a little! Makayla seems to be taking to the new sister role well, even though she still likes to wack her on the head like she is the cat - serves us right for not stopping her wacking the cat! So we always remind her that she has to be gentle. Trouble is though when we tell her, she often thinks she is in trouble (and she doesn't get in trouble often because she is such a good kid) So she starts crying and carrying on. We then have to remind her she isn't in trouble, that Steph is just fragile. It's so funny. We are trying to get Makayla to say Steph, and she is getting pretty good at it! She can't say anything really except for Mum, Dad and Nan... but she tries to do Steph because you can hear the S especially at the start and the 'PH' at the end. It is soooooo cute - plus it would be sooooo cute as her first word! She has started coping what we say and we can get her to do so many cute things now! She loves clapping her hands, and also spins her arms from side to side and dances. She does high fives, and also one cute thing she does is she does the cranky and folds her arms like she is crossing them and being cranky. It's soooo cute coz she always has a smile as she does it. Makes us laugh our head off. She is also fascinated by mirrors. We even brought the one from our room and stuck it in the lounge room and she LOVES it! She is always near it squealing and carrying on! We have also decided to put Makayla in daycare one day a week - Family daycare, when we get a spot. I am going to miss her, but I also think it will be good for her to have one day a week with other kids, and it will also give me a chance to have a day where I can spend it with Stephanie and also get a few things done (possibly!) Maybe she will learn some stuff from the other kids, like she will see they walk! LOL. She still isn't walking can't wait until she is ! I will prob regret saying that though, as I will have to chase after her then! Righto, well It's late, well actually it's early - it's 4:58am. I started this post about 3:30pm yesterday and I decided to finish it now. Michael woke me when he came to bed at 4am (yes he came to bed at 4am - and yes, he has to work at 9am dunno how he does it to himself!) Anyhoo, I better go back to bed! ttfn! Meg

Makayla was giving Steph kisses

I think someone had too much milk....
